Author Michelle Knight is an Army veteran with a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, she firmly believes that the most valuable degree one can earn is life experience. Life may deal everyone a unique hand, often filled with challenges, but it’s through trials and tribulations that growth and passion are born.

For Author Knight, that passion lies in teaching through writing and creating multicultural narratives within literature. Guided by her motto, “Reading reality is essential assisting our children today for a better tomorrow,” she dedicates her work to fostering meaningful messages for young readers.

The creation of "Black Moms Reality Bookcase" reflects this mission. It allows Author Knight to provide impactful reading materials with life lessons that resonate deeply. She believes that even the thinnest books can carry powerful messages. By showcasing diverse stories and teachable moments, she highlights the experiences of African American children, ensuring representation and inspiration for a brighter future.
